6 February - Squash Fights Facilities Closures - Sign the Petition!
Many people in squash are aware of the threat of the closure of courts - we've been working hard on this at England Squash for some time, opposing closures and conversions wherever we can. This threat is wider than squash, however. We believe there's a problem for sports facilities generally in the lack of protection offered by planning laws. That's why we've teamed up with the Daily Telegraph to highlight this issue - a series of articles have started to appear in the newspaper and the telegraph website demonstrating the problem. To view the first article click here. To sign the petition urging the government to strengthen planning laws for the protection of sport facilities, click here. A united voice will make people listen, so add ours to the growing clamour for action! It would be great to ask your friends to do the same.
